Introduction Functional cognitive disorders (FCD) denotes a complaint about memory function or, less commonly, another process, in the absence of relevant neuropathology and with evidence inconsistency between symptoms reported signs identified at assessment. Increasing numbers people FCD are being identified. Most discharged back to primary care without diagnosis or given label mild impairment, which is not synonym for FCD. Objectives There multitude terms clinic research describe this kind complaints. Some seem minimize normalize state, whereas others posit an underlying cause. Given lack order, it challenge diagnose give proper clinical guidance. This literature-based review aims fill gap. Methods Data was obtained through internet-based literature search, using databases PubMed, Cochrane Library NCBI. The World Health Organization also utilized. Nine articles from last two years were included. Results It listed nosology six categories selection features may help discrimination functional neurological disease causes disorders. Conclusions Patients presenting complaints require standard psychiatric history examination. should be emphasized that these conditions diagnoses exclusion but have positive become well-known.
